Dash Course (ages 11-15): The 150M Beach Start swim is within Lake Louisa and has a nice sandy bottom. The Bike is 1 Lap on the Lake Louisa State Park roads. Dash athletes will turn half way up the slight “Stop Sign” Hill, which is well marked. The Run is 1.25Km on the Lake Louisa State Park Roads. Dash athletes will turn .65km out which is well marked. There is very slight elevation on the scenic road.
Super Dash Course (ages 6-10): The 75M Beach Start swim is within Lake Louisa and has a nice sandy bottom, Super Dash athletes will notice the swim buoys are set for the Dash athletes, these buoys will move in after the Dash starts & before the Super Dash starts. The Bike is 1 Lap on the Lake Louisa State Park roads. Super Dash athletes will turn the “islands”, which is well marked. The Run is .65Km on the Lake Louisa State Park Roads. Super Dash athletes will turn .33km out which is well marked. There is no elevation on the scenic road.
Aid Station: There will be a water station at the Super Dash run turn-around, Dash athletes run past this aid station twice (do not turn here).
Sanctioning & Insurance: The Dash & Super Dash is sanctioned and insured through USA Triathlon. All athletes will need to be USAT members or get a 1-Day USAT license. All athletes will need to bring their proof of USAT membership.
Medals & Awards: All finishers will receive a medal. Top 3 boys & girls in the following age classes (age of Dec 31, 2017) receive awards:
Timing & Bib Numbers: The race is timed by Electronic Chips, the results are live and results are instantaneous. Racers receive their chips in their packets before the race, these should go on the left ankle. Bib numbers will also be in your packets, you will need these for the run, they must be on the front for the run.
